Dragon 10 (any edition) will not work on computers whose processors do not support SSE2 instructions.
You don't really need to know what those are, but you do need to know whether your processor supports them.  Most computers sold since 2006 will be okay - but not all
of them.  Here's how to find out if yours supports SSE2 instructions:

1.  Go to
http://cpuid.com/cpuz.php

2.  Scroll down nearly to the bottom, to where you see a table with "Version," "Date," etc.

3.  Version 1.47 is a link - click on it.

4.  On the Download screen, click either Open or Save (doesn't matter).

5.  Unzip the files to wherever you want (e.g. desktop).

6.  Then double-click on cpuz.exe, and click Run.  It will show you the configuration of your computer.

7.  On the CPU tab, the very last line under Processor says "Instructions."

8.  Is SSE2 listed there?  If not, you can't run Dragon 10.
