Trigram Language Models can be added to Dragon Professional to significantly improve recognition accuracy. Adding it to Dragon
Medical qualifies as "gilding the lily" - it's just not necessary, and you'll spend money you don't need to without gaining much.
A language model is NOT merely a word list, but rather a sophisticated paradigm that includes contextual sensitivity - that is, the acoustic
data it uses are based not only on the frequency of words used by physicians in various specialties, but also on HOW those words are
typically used - as well as phrases called "bigrams" and "trigrams." Not anagrams or telegrams.
Every Trigram Language Model can be purchased with or without MedTemps. MedTemps is a handy little application that runs on
Microsoft Word . It keeps track of your patients in a database, and uses the data to prepopulate some of the fields in its templates, which
are HCFA and AMA compliant. The templates were designed by a physician with strict adherence to Medicare guidelines, and allows
physicians to work in the way to which they are accustomed. They're completely customizable, or we can help you set up your own to work
in MedTemps. You can even populate popup lists with your most oft-used boilerplate.
